2. Alkenes – unsaturated hydrocarbons with at least one double bond (CnH2n)
3. Alkynes – unsaturated hydrocarbons with at least one triple bond (CnH2n-2)
Aromatic hydrocarbons contain benzene ring or similar cyclic structures
Properties: generally non-polar, insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents
Uses: fuels (petrol, diesel, LPG), raw material for plastics, synthetic fibers, medicines, dyes
