Applies To: BookBoard.co, BookBoard mobile applications, and all related community spaces, content areas, support channels, and contributor programs (“Platform”).
1) Our Community Promise
BookBoard is a platform built for readers, writers, authors, and publishers. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and legally compliant space where people can discover books, share knowledge, and engage with reading culture.
These Community Guidelines explain what is allowed and what is not allowed on BookBoard. They apply to all users, visitors, contributors, partners, and anyone who interacts with our Platform.
If you use BookBoard, you agree to follow these guidelines.

Do not encourage self-harm, harm to others, or illegal activity.
C) Be Honest
Do not impersonate people, mislead users, or manipulate our platform.
D) Be Lawful
Use BookBoard only for lawful purposes.
Do not use the Platform to distribute illegal content or engage in prohibited activities.
E) Respect Intellectual Property
BookBoard supports lawful reading and publishing ecosystems. Copyright and trademark rights must be respected.
4) What You Can Do on BookBoard
We welcome:

Sharing reading opinions, book reviews, and thoughtful feedback

Participating in educational and literary discussions

Reporting broken links, inaccurate data, or copyright concerns

Submitting original articles under our contributor program

Recommending books and authors in good faith

5) Prohibited Behavior
The following behavior is not allowed anywhere on BookBoard:
A) Harassment, Bullying, and Threats
You may not:

Threaten violence or harm

Bully, harass, or intimidate anyone

Use abusive language targeted at a person or group

Encourage others to attack or harass someone

Use humiliating, degrading, or sexually harassing remarks

Stalk or repeatedly contact someone after they ask you to stop
Result: This may lead to immediate suspension or permanent banning.
B) Hate Speech and Discrimination
BookBoard does not allow:

Hate speech

Slurs
-
Content promoting discrimination
-
Content that targets people based on protected characteristics

Calls for exclusion, harm, or violence against groups
This includes both direct and coded language.
Result: Immediate removal and strong enforcement.
C) Sexual Content, Exploitation, and Child Safety
BookBoard maintains strict rules for safety.
You may not:

Post sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance)

Share or promote exploitative content

Post sexual violence content
-
Share content encouraging grooming or exploitation

Upload non-consensual intimate content
Zero Tolerance: Any content involving minors is reported to relevant authorities as required by law.
D) Violence and Graphic Content
You may not:

Post graphic violence or gore

Encourage violence against any person or group
-
Promote extremist violence
-
Provide instructions to harm people
BookBoard may allow limited educational discussion of violence only when presented responsibly and without graphic details.
E) Self-Harm or Suicide Promotion
You may not:

Encourage self-harm or suicide

Share detailed instructions for self-harm

Post content intended to glorify or promote self-harm
If content appears to involve imminent risk, BookBoard may take emergency action, including reporting where required.
6) Illegal Activity and Dangerous Instructions
BookBoard is not a platform for illegal activity.
You may not:

Promote illegal services
-
Share instructions for crimes
-
Provide hacking instructions or malicious code
-
Share methods to bypass security systems
-
Sell prohibited items or substances
-
Encourage fraud, theft, or exploitation
7) Copyright, Piracy, and Intellectual Property
BookBoard respects the rights of authors, publishers, and creators.
You may not:

Upload copyrighted books without authorization

Share pirated content links
-
Request pirated content from others
-
Provide step-by-step instructions to access unauthorized copyrighted material

Repeatedly post or promote infringing sources
Rights Holder Support
If you are a rights holder and believe content infringes your rights, you may submit a report through our official Copyright page. We take legitimate requests seriously and respond according to applicable law and our policies.
False Claims
Submitting false copyright reports is also prohibited and may result in account action.
8) Privacy, Personal Data, and Doxxing
We take privacy seriously.
You may not:

Share someone’s phone number, address, private email, or personal details

Share identity information without consent

Post screenshots containing private personal information

Threaten to expose someone’s identity

Encourage doxxing or harassment campaigns
Result: Immediate removal and possible permanent banning.
9) Spam, Scams, and Fraud
BookBoard does not allow spam or deceptive behavior.
You may not:

Post spam links

Use misleading clickbait or deceptive redirects

Promote scams, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent offers
-
Run phishing attempts
-
Post fake giveaways or fake “support” messages

Misrepresent yourself as BookBoard staff

Attempt to trick users into installing software or sharing personal details
10) Impersonation and Identity Misuse
You may not:

Pretend to be another person
-
Pretend to be an author, publisher, or rights holder without proof

Pretend to be BookBoard staff or moderators

Use logos or branding in a way that misleads users
We may request verification when necessary.
11) Platform Abuse and Technical Misuse
You may not:

Attempt to exploit bugs or vulnerabilities

Reverse engineer the Platform

Use automation/bots without permission

Scrape large amounts of data

Disrupt service availability

Upload malware, spyware, or harmful files

Attempt to bypass access restrictions
BookBoard may block devices, accounts, or IP addresses to protect system integrity.
12) Reviews, Ratings, and Feedback Integrity
BookBoard values honest feedback.
You may not:

Coordinate review manipulation

Offer money or benefits for reviews without disclosure

14) Contributor Rules (“Write for Us”)
If you submit content to BookBoard:

Avoid unsafe download links

Respect copyright and trademarks

Reject content for any reason

Remove content later if it violates policies

Disable contributor access for repeated violations
15) What Happens If You Break the Rules
BookBoard may take enforcement actions including:
